Dan Naylor, Principal Dentist says ‘We were receiving daily phone calls from distressed patients with broken dentures. Many of these patients are classed as vulnerable and a broken denture is an added anxiety to their already difficult daily lives in lockdown’. Being the only Dental Practice in Wrexham with an on-site dental prosthetics laboratory Ruabon Road Dental Practice is equipped with the technology, clinical safety measures and know-how to resolve the majority of broken denture problems remotely whilst respecting social distancing rules. Dan explains the process, ‘The patient sends a photograph of their broken denture so we can assess the damage. We have the occasional caller who struggles with technology so we talk them through how to do it and we work it out together’.
